This year’s Casting Hope is shaping up to be our most powerful night yet—and we are honored to welcome Lauren Sisler, ESPN reporter and author of Shatterproof, as our keynote speaker.
Lauren’s story is one of unimaginable heartbreak and unshakable resilience. At just 18 years old, she lost both of her parents within hours of each other to drug overdoses. But after years of staying silent, Lauren now chooses to speak out—and use her platform to break the stigma of addiction and loss.
Recently, Lauren joined us at On River Time camp and spoke directly to our teens. Her message—raw, real, and full of heart—resonated deeply. Several campers approached her after to share that they, too, had a similar story. One girl told Lauren she understood how hard it is to watch your parents spiral.
